In accordance with the Council of Higher Education General Assembly decision dated 29.07.2022 and the Procedures and Principles on Distance Education in Higher Education Institutions, in the 2022-2023 Academic Year, all formal education programs at the associate, undergraduate and graduate levels of our university have primarily returned to face-to-face education.<\/p>\n

Information regarding the courses to be conducted through distance education and the implementation guidelines for these courses are provided below:<\/p>\n

At our university, the WEXT platform is used as the distance education platform for the English I-II courses, and the HKU Learning Management System (HKU-LMS) is used for other distance education courses. The confidentiality and security of all distance education course information on the distance education platforms are guaranteed within the scope of the regulations on the protection of personal data and privacy (KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law)).<\/p>\n

Since all data related to distance education courses is specific to the course context, sharing the images and texts belonging to them on social media and other platforms without permission is against the law.<\/p>\n

Logging in to Distance Education Platforms<\/strong><\/p>\n

WEXT:<\/strong> Students can find detailed information about WEXT platform registration, login and the course at https:\/\/ydy.hku.edu.tr\/duyurular\/2022-2023-ingilizce-i-guz-ve-ingilizce-ii-bahar-dersleri-duyurusu-wext\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

LMS:<\/strong> The username and password students need to log in to the learning management system (LMS) are the same as the username and password of our university’s student information system (OBS). Students are not given a separate username and password to log in to the learning management system. Students must apply to the Student Affairs Office for OBS password issuance, password renewal and similar procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
