Dear faculty members and students,
The updates made to the HKU Learning Management System in the 2020-2021 Spring semester are listed below.
● Exam participation reports of students can be viewed page by page (with options of 10, 20 or 50 people),
● The ability to unpublish assignments after they have been published,
● The ability to download students’ exam answers as PDF,
● Bulk download of assignments,
● Links added to the course wall open in a new tab when clicked,
● All page numbers on the exam viewing screen of students are visible,
● The ability to return to questions depends on the instructor’s preference,
● In multiple-choice exams, students mark the leave this question blank option in order to leave a question blank,
● Bulk download of class questions as PDF,
● The download file tab in exams and assignments works actively,
● Access to fall semester archive courses is provided.
● Fall semester course video recordings are archived.
● Exam copying.
● Exam Cancellation (an ongoing exam can be cancelled entirely)
● Leave question blank option.
● The question viewing date and the answering date are recorded separately and reported in the exam detail report.
● File download and upload dates are recorded separately and reported in exam reports.
● In areas where files are uploaded, the uploaded file can be downloaded again for verification, and the file name and size are logged.
● The default number of 5 options in scanned questions can be edited when creating the question.
● Improvements in exam detail reports.
● Search added to the exam participant list.
● Improvement in the exam extension function: exams can be extended instantly without waiting for the exam to end, and notifications are sent to students.
● Improvement in the exam cancellation function: notifications are sent to students instantly when an exam is cancelled.
● Import of courses, academics and students via Excel
● LDAP-independent user login.
● Recordings of courses held without participants can be saved (screen sharing is required for the recording to be active).
● Recordings of meetings held without participants can be saved.
● Increased filters on search screens throughout the system.
● Addition of row numbers on listing screens.
● For data groups consisting of two or more pages, after accessing the row detail of any page and returning, the user can continue from the page where they left off.
● Calendar control added to date fields.
● On all screens where documents can be added, a direct file download feature has been added in place of the Google Docs Viewer feature.
● Date error in Safari browsers fixed.
● Uploaded files can be previewed or downloaded before being saved.
● The order of exam questions can be changed by drag and drop.
