Dear students,

Information about your ENGLISH I final exam and the points to be observed during the exam are provided below.

Exam: ENGLISH I FINAL Exam
Exam Format: Online LMS (lms.hku.edu.tr)
Exam Date: 2 January 2022 Time: 10.30-12.30*
* IMPORTANT: You may log in to the exam between 10.30 and 12.30, but once the exam is started, the exam duration is 25 minutes. Regardless of the minute at which you start the exam, the session will be terminated at 12.30.)

Dear students,
To prevent technical problems that may occur in your online exams, please take the recommendations below into consideration. We wish you success in your exams.
1- You can log in to your exam at lms.hku.edu.tr. You can access the Hasan Kalyoncu University Learning Management System Exam Module user guide at https://rc.hku.edu.tr/uzom/wp-content/uploads/sites/15/2020/11/sinav-ogrenciler-icin.pdf.
2- Before the exam day, be sure to check whether you can see the exam shared on the LMS (lms.hku.edu.tr), and if there is a problem, contact your course instructor, stating your department, full name and student number. (gsema.kilinc@hku.edu.tr)
3- Open the system at least 15-20 minutes before your online exam begins. After you press the button to start your exam, a countdown timer will start, and your exam will begin when the timer reaches zero. In this way, you can prevent congestion in the system and avoid possible freezing problems.
4- If your internet connection drops before you complete your exam, you will be logged out of the system without completing the exam. To prevent this problem, keep a tablet, mobile phone or similar device with you as an alternative, and make sure you also have an alternative internet connection. If you do not have adequate internet infrastructure at home, you can also come to our university and use the school’s internet infrastructure. If you experience such a problem, once you resolve your connection problem and log in to the system again without pressing the finish exam button, your exam will continue from where you left off.
5- After you complete your exam, you will see a notification in the system indicating whether your exam has been completed. In this way, you can check whether your exam was completed successfully.
6- Problems in multiple-choice exams such as being unable to move to the next question, being unable to mark a question or being unable to see a question, and problems in file-upload exams such as the system freezing or the file failing to upload while uploading, indicate that you are experiencing an internet connection problem caused by your internet service provider or the servers. In this case, without pressing the finish exam button, you may simply close the browser, reconnect to the internet via an alternative device and try to continue the exam from where you left off.
7- Students who experience technical problems during the exam due to reasons originating from our university’s distance learning management system, or who cannot complete their exam due to such technical problems, must submit their justification on the matter, together with supporting information attached, to the relevant dean’s office/directorate by the end of working hours on the first business day following the day on which the relevant exam was held.
8- The exam content will cover the content assigned to your account on the WEXT online English education platform. (Students whose WEXT account has not been activated must speak with their faculty secretaries and request account activation.)
Note: WEXT online platform activities can be completed until 23.59 on 7 January 2022. Since the activities in the system will be locked after the specified date, they will not be accessible, and the assessment will be made based on the content completed up to the specified date.

We wish you success in your exams.
