Points to note and recommendations to avoid technical problems in your exams
You may take into account the recommendations below to prevent technical problems that may occur in your online exams.
- Before the online exam, it is recommended that you check whether you can log in to the LMS with your username and password. Your LMS password is the same as your OBS password. If you cannot log in, you need to apply to Student Affairs to reset your OBS password. Since this process will take time, it is recommended that you do it in the days before your exams begin.
- Before the online exam, log in to your OBS and check whether all the courses in your OBS also appear in your LMS. If you cannot see a course, you must apply to your department to have the relevant course added to your LMS. Since this process will take time, it is recommended that you do it in the days before your exams begin.
- After you press the button to start your online exam, a countdown timer will be activated and your exam will begin when this timer reaches zero. In this way, you can prevent congestion in the system and avoid possible freezing problems.
- If your internet connection is lost before you complete your online exam, you will be logged out of the system without completing the exam. To prevent this problem, keep alternative devices such as a tablet or mobile phone with you, and make sure you also have an alternative internet connection.
- After you complete your online exam, you will see a notification in the system indicating whether your exam has been completed. In this way, you can check whether your exam has been successfully completed.
- Problems such as being unable to proceed to the next question, being unable to mark a question or being unable to see a question in multiple-choice online exams, and problems such as the system freezing or the file failing to upload during file upload in file-upload exams, indicate that you are experiencing an internet connection problem originating from your internet service provider or the servers. In this case, under the supervision of the exam proctor, you can try to reconnect to the internet via an alternative device, resolve your connection problem and continue the exam from where you left off.
- After you complete your online exam, you will see a notification in the system indicating whether your exam has been completed. In this way, you can check whether your exam has been successfully completed.
- If you experience technical problems during your online exam such as being unable to proceed to the next question, being unable to mark a question or being unable to see a question, you can try closing the browser without pressing the finish exam button and restarting the exam via the LMS.
We wish you success in your exams.
